The Jazz Estate, 2423 N. Murray Ave., is set to reopen later this month for the first time since March of 2020.

“I'm really looking forward to seeing all of our regulars and hearing some live jazz,” says owner John Dye.

Originally opened in 1977, The Jazz Estate kicks off on Friday, Oct. 22 with a performance by experimental trio Nineteen Thirteen. A proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test is required for entry.

“The pandemic has been hard for everyone and we could all use some distraction and art," says Dye. "I’m also really looking forward to our annual Charlie Brown Christmas which was streaming-only last year. This year we will have it 10 nights at the estate and one night at another location. Stay tuned.”
