For the ninth straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee, presented by the restaurants of Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, dining guides, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as voting for your "Best of Dining 2015."

This week, the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center (JCC), located at 6255 N. Santa Monica Blvd. in Whitefish Bay, announced a new partnership with Ferrante’s Restaurant & Signature Catering, who will act as the exclusive provider of all JCC kosher food services including the in-house café, CafA B Data.

Ferrante’s kosher catering division, an extension of the company’s signature catering business, has been serving families and synagogues in Milwaukee’s Jewish community since 2000. And, as of Monday, Oct. 12, the catering service will occupy permanent space in the JCC’s expansive kosher kitchen on the Karl Jewish Campus in Whitefish Bay.

Ferrante’s will provide complete kosher food services for meetings, special events and activities on campus and at the Linda and Fred Wein Center for Gan Ami – Mequon. They will also serve up a menu at CafA B Data which includes fresh salads, savory soups and items like grilled chicken shawarma in pita bread, black bean burgers, grilled portobello mushroom sandwiches, and burgers with grilled salami and fried onions. A take n’ bake version of Ferrante’s pizza will also be available for families on the go.  Daily specials will be featured on Ferrante’s Facebook page.

A grand opening event will take place on Oct. 21 at the JCC’s CafA B Data from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21. The celebration will include sampling, prize drawings, children’s activities, musical entertainment, and more.

Ferrante’s at the JCC will be open to the community Monday through Thursday, 11:30 a.m.-7 p.m., with lunch service on Fridays from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
