Summerfest got a heavy dose of Southern swagger and heartfelt storytelling Thursday night as Lainey Wilson made her Summerfest debut with a powerful headlining set at the AmFam Amphitheater.
Kicking off Weekend 2 of Summerfest, the Louisiana native drew a massive crowd of country fans, ready to sing along, raise their drinks, and maybe shed a tear or two.
Wilson, who previously made waves in Wisconsin with standout performances at The Rave and Country Thunder, stepped onto the Summerfest stage like she’d been playing it for years. With her signature bell-bottoms, soulful vocals, and a setlist packed with both rowdy anthems and raw emotion, she turned her first time at the Big Gig into a night to remember.
From the moment she hit the stage, the crowd was locked in and belted out hits like “Heart Like a Truck” and “Things a Man Oughta Know” mixed seamlessly with newer fan favorites. Scroll down to check out some of our favorite moments from the night.
