The weather is really hot right now – and speaking of things that aren't cool, here's the newly announced lineup of movies and TV shows leaving the definitely-not-broke Big Red Streaming Monolith in July.
It's not a long list – but one with some notable names headed elsewhere, including a plethora of Oscar winners and nominees such as "The Social Network," "Django Unchained," "Little Women" and "Forrest Gump." And while we're on the topic of Tom Hanks blockbusters, the rom-com classic "You've Got Mail" will also return to sender by the end of next month along with the fellow swoon-inducing sensation "Love Actually."
Want something scarier than your energy bill after using all that AC this summer? Tune into the surprisingly solid horror sequels "The Strangers: Prey At Night" and "Annabelle: Creation" before they leave Netflix. And as for the complete opposite of a high-quality horror sequel, you could also check out "The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia" before its hilariously nonsense title haunts another streaming service. Be sure to finish up your binge-watches of "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" and "30 Rock," too, before they're gone and you're haunted by the curse of not knowing how the shows end. (Or, worse yet, the curse of having to pay for another streaming service to finish your binge.)
