On Wednesday, Summerfest and American Family Insurance announced the recipients of the 2025 Let The Music Play grants, which awards funding to organizations across Milwaukee County to support music education programs.
"We are proud to continue our longstanding partnership with American Family Insurance to champion music education across our community,” said Sarah Pancheri, president and CEO of Milwaukee World Festival, Inc via statement. “Over the past seven years, the Let The Music Play program has inspired creativity and learning through music, impacting over 50 organizations and thousands of local students.”
The grant program provides funding for instruments, equipment, and curriculum materials. This year’s recipients will receive support for instruments, as well as turntables and DJ controllers, sheet music, and technology, including computers capable of running music editing software. Recipients range from organizations like Girls Rock MKE to charter schools, as well as three schools within the Milwaukee Public Schools system.

- Milwaukee Community Orchestra
- The Milwaukee Science Education Consortium, Inc.
