Lou Malnati’s, the family-owned pizzeria known for its Chicago-style pizza, has confirmed that it will establish its first Wisconsin location in Fox Point.

Plans for the inaugural location were submitted to the Fox Point Plan Commission earlier this summer and approved this week.

The restaurant, which is slated to open in early December, will be located in the Riverpoint Village Shopping Center at 8799 N. Port Washington Rd.

The new venue will not have a dining room, but customers will be able to order pizzas for carry-out and delivery (delivery is operated in-house). The restaurant will also offer catering services.

As for the menu, Lou Malnati’s spokesperson Meggie Lindberg has indicated it will be consistent with the brand’s carry-out and delivery locations in Chicagoland, which include deep dish and thin crust pies, gluten-free thin crust pizza, salads, appetizers, pasta and salads. Lindberg notes that the brand has set its eyes on opening up to five locations in Wisconsin, including one full-service location. However, no leases have been finalized at this time.

Once open, the restaurant’s hours are likely to be Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to close and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to close.
