In anticipation of Valentine’s Day, Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria is once again rolling out their beloved signature heart-shaped deep dish pizzas available as cheese, sausage or pepperoni.
The pizzas will be available for dine-in, carry-out and delivery Feb. 1 through Feb. 29 at all five Milwaukee area locations in Brookfield (full-service), Fox Point, Greenfield, Oak Creek and Waukesha. All carry-out only locations will open early (at 2 p.m.) on Valentine’s Day.
And, just in case you don’t get what the fuss is all about, here are five great reasons why a heart shaped pizza should be on your list this February.
1. They’re heart shaped.
How can you not smile when you see a heart shaped pizza? They’re so friggin’ cute. And they’re not just awesome for Valentine’s Day. They’re great for Galentine’s Day, book club meetings, baby showers and plain old too-tired-to-cook weeknight dinners. Bonus: they look totally adorable in Instagram photos.
2. You are paying it forward
For every heart shaped pizza sold at a Milwaukee area location during the month of February, Lou Malnati’s will donate $1 to Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin. And while that might not sound like a lot, consider this: $1 provides at least 10 meals to families in need through the Feeding America network of food banks.
3. They’re oh-so convenient
You can head to Brookfield and enjoy a heart shaped pizza at the restaurant. You can also order a fully cooked heart shaped pizza for carry-out.
But there are even more options. Did you know you can order a par-baked pizza to finish baking at home? Or that you can grab a frozen one from the freezer case at any Lou Malnati’s? It’s true. Just pop it in the oven, and it’s ready when you are! Pick up a nice bottle of wine and you’ve set the stage for a perfect impromptu romantic dinner. Pro tip: If you are a winter griller, both the par-baked and frozen pizzas are great prepared on the grill.
4. Everybody likes pizza
Heart shaped pizzas are perfect for lovers. But, frankly, they’re great for pizza lovers of any sort. Wondering what to do with the kids for Valentine’s Day? Bet they’d get a kick out of a heart shaped pizza.
5. Perfect for pizza proposals
For pizza lovers whose relationships have reached that pivotal point, it might be time to consider a pizza proposal. Yes, that’s a real thing. And whether you spell out “Will You Marry Me?” with extra toppings or pop the question with a marker on the inside of the pizza box, it’s sure to create a moment not soon forgotten.
Want to send love from afar? The pizzas (along with giant heart shaped chocolate chip cookies) will also be available for shipping nationwide through Tastes of Chicago.
