The Greater Milwaukee area is filled with amazing dining experiences and we want to share them with you!  Join the OnMilwaukee Squad before Sept. 20, 2024 and you'll be entered into a drawing for a chance to join us in October for an intimate Chef Tasting Event at Union House featuring creative dishes and beverage pairings from Chef Dan Harrell.

Mallards Restaurant, a Midwest-based family-owned eatery boasting southern hospitality and a menu of cajun fare, seafood and American favorites, is slated to open this winter at BAYSHORE.

The restaurant will occupy the restaurant and patio adjacent to the open-air community space, The Yard, at 5689 N. Bayshore Dr.

BAYSHORE will mark the fifth location – and first in Southeastern Wisconsin –  for the midwest-based restaurant, which has four locations in Minnesota and one in New Richmond, Wisconsin. Founded by Kansas City natives David and Gail Suddath in 2013, the restaurant reflects the couples’ Southern roots in both its hospitality and menu, blending a casual vibe with upscale Southern comfort food.

Fan favorites include lobster rolls, jambalaya, surf & turf, blackened fish tacos, pecan-crusted walleye and desserts like key lime pie. The restaurant will also feature a full bar with beer, wine and craft cocktails.

“Our family has Wisconsin ties so having the opportunity to deepen those and expand our concept to other areas of the state was always our dream,” note the Suddaths. “Community is important to us and we can’t wait to bring something new, and delicious to the North Shore.”
