It’s officially Carnival Season and MOTOR Bar & Restaurant, 401 W. Canal St., is officially getting the party started with a menu of delicious NOLA-inspired dishes which will be available to guests from now through Tuesday, Feb. 13 (Fat Tuesday).

Among the new offerings guests will find appetizers like Feisty Crawdad Dip (warm cajun dip with crawfish, andouille sausage) served with paprika and polenta crackers and grilled garlic bread ($14.95); and Smoked Kickin’ Chicken Wings, one pound of blackening rubbed smoked wings served with blue cheese remoulade, celery and carrot sticks ($14.95).

From there, you can keep it light with a Muffuletta Salad featuring all the goodies from salami and ham to mortadella, provolone, crisp croutons and marinated vegetables served over romaine lettuce with remoulade ($17.95).  Or you can go all out with MOTOR’s Cajun Shrimp Po’boy featuring blackened grilled shrimp, fried oysters and fried jalapenos with all the fixin’s on grilled garlic baguette (served with fries for $19.95).

Craving something sweet?  How about a batch of freshly fried “Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler” Beignets dusted with powdered sugar and served with warm chocolate sauce for dipping?  They’re just $8.95 and perfect for sharing.

And, since no celebration would be complete without something refreshing from the bar, MOTOR is offering that too, in the form of three specialty cocktails.

The MOTOR’s Cup features Amaro Montenegro, Good Land Cranberry Liqueur, ginger ale and lemon; the Dark & Snowy conjures the classic with Bacardi Spiced Rum, housemade brown sugar simple syrup, Owen’s Ginger Beer and lime.  Of course, it wouldn't be Mardi Gras without a Hurricane Cherrycane showcasing Captain Morgan White Rum, Heering Cherry Liqueur, Luxardo cherry, passionfruit, lemonade and Sprite. Cocktails are $12 each.

MOTOR is open Sunday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
