The Milwaukee Admirals will serve up something special next month as the NHL affiliate will transform into the Milwaukee Fish Fry for a weekend in March.

On March 11-12, in honor of the beloved Wisconsin Friday night feast, the Admirals will don Milwaukee Fish Fry uniforms, deliciously ridiculous digs featuring a checkered table cloth pattern and a brand new logo: a happy walleye literally hooked by a side of french fries. I like to imagine the hockey sticks will be made of tasty rye bread as well.

If you would like an actual Milwaukee fish fry while watching the Milwaukee Fish Fry, the UWM Panther Arena concession stands will sell the fried flaky food during the two games. The Admirals are also selling a special ticket deal for the weekend, packaging a ticket to one of the special Fish Fry games –  either Friday night at 7 p.m. against the Rockford Ice Hogs or Saturday night at 6 p.m. versus the Chicago Wolves – with a voucher for a fish fry from Saz's, Buck Bradley's or Steny's for $35.

As for snagging one of these fish fry fashion statements for yourself, the Admirals will put the unique uniforms on sale at the team store beginning March 11. Jerseys will also be up for silent auction running Wednesday, March 9 through 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, with the proceeds going toward the Admirals Power Play Foundation.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
