Last night's dominant win against the Chicago Wolves was one for the history books as the Milwaukee Admirals notched their 15th consecutive victory, continuing a franchise record that cements their place in AHL lore – one that hopefully will continue to grow throughout the season. Defeating their I-94 rivals, 5-2, the Admirals continue to put on an impressive show in 2024 – and now head out on the road with their eyes on the league record of 17 wins in a row.
Check out these reasons you shouldn’t have missed the record-extending Admirals win – and why you shouldn't miss out on the rest of the season either.
1. Breaking records with every win
The Admirals' 15-game winning streak is more than just a good team on a hot streak. Each game has felt like a new chapter to their historic streak and season, with a run that fans will talk about for years to come – and one Admirals fans hope ends with the Calder Cup.
2. Riding the wave from Saturday’s thrilling shootout win
The Admirals' dramatic victory over the Texas Stars on Saturday set the stage for their monumental win against the Wolves, highlighting their clutch performance under pressure and their ability to capitalize off the momentum of a thrilling win. No free hockey was needed on Tuesday night, though, as the Admirals dominated the Wolves, 5-2, out-shooting them 40-22.
3. Yaroslav Askarov
Seeing goaltender Yaroslav Askarov not only extend the team’s winning streak, but his own win streak as well, was another treat from Tuesday night. After last night's win, Askarov has now won 11 straight games for Milwaukee – and he literally had to stand on his head at times to get there.

4. Your first star of the game
Defensemen Marc Del Gaizo was your first star of the game, contributing two assists to the 5-2 victory. With assists in the first and second period, Del Gaizo provided an offensive spark from the blue line.
5. New night, new roster
Mark Jankowski and Egor Afanasyev have injected fresh energy and skill into the team, proving crucial in tight games. Although the team was without both on Tuesday night, who were called up to Milwaukee's affilliate in the Nashville Predators of the NHL, the rest of the Admirals were able to step up, underscoring the organization's strategic depth.
6. Unstoppable at home
The Admirals' dominance at home has not only provided an unbeatable advantage but created an intimidating atmosphere for visiting teams. After Tuesday’s victory, the Admirals are undefeated at home in 2024 and have won 14 straight at the UWM Panther Arena. The win was also the third consecutive Winning Weekday, where fans received free tickets to the March 6 game against Manitoba with the win. The constantly-growing crowd had their share of chants for their Chicago inter-division rivals.
7. A fitting homestand finale
Concluding their season-long homestand (five games) with a record-setting win was the perfect capstone. It showcased the team's resilience and ability to perform consistently at a high level over an extended period.
8. An early start
If weekday games are tough because of late start times, Tuesday evening’s game was for you, as the Admirals hosted a 6:30 p.m. puck drop. Fans were able to enjoy some quality hockey and finish the game just after 9 p.m.
9. Award-winning talent
Having players like Jankowski and Askarov, recognized for their outstanding contributions last month, highlights the caliber of talent on the team and adds an extra layer of excitement to each game. Although the Admirals are now without Jankowski, as he now contributes to the team's NHL affiliate in Nashville, there is still plenty of star power on the roster.
10. Stellar defense
Spencer Stastney’s defensive prowess and the team’s offensive contributions at the point illustrate the Admirals' balanced approach to the game, making them a formidable opponent in all aspects of play. Tuesday night was no exception as the Wolves could barely get anything to the goalie when Stastney was on the ice.
11. Electric atmosphere
The energy in the UWM Panther Arena during this historic run has been electric, creating an unforgettable experience for fans and a daunting environment for opponents regardless of the positive effects it has on the team's performance. There is nothing more fun as a fan than being part of an electric home crowd.
12. Unique entertainment value
Admirals games provide a unique entertainment experience in Milwaukee – especially during February when other entertainment options, like concerts, might be scarce and other major sports are in hibernation. It's an opportunity to enjoy live sports action and a vibrant atmosphere.
13. Quality hockey and fun at a low price
Compared to other professional sports events, Admirals games are relatively very affordable, offering great value for money. This accessibility ensures that more fans can experience the thrill of live hockey without breaking the bank.
14. Promotional nights and giveaways
The Admirals often host promotional nights and giveaways, adding extra value and excitement to the game-day experience. From themed nights to special merchandise, these events are a big draw for fans. Although perhaps not the star power of Saturday night’s postgame Cheap Trick concert, fans on Tuesday were able to celebrate Galentine’s Day, where gals and guys alike could shop for uniquely-themed Admirals products.
15. The Admirals' community engagement
Amidst their on-ice success, the Admirals have continued to engage with and give back to their community, further solidifying the bond between the team and its fans. This engagement has made their historic winning streak not just a series of games won but a communal experience shared with their loyal supporters. Fans on Tuesday night were also able to stay after the game for Camera Night, allowing supporters to come down to the ice, take pictures with some of their favorite players and celebrate the win’s historic victory.
