It's time for Dining Month, presented by Deer District and its spooky Halloween-themed alter ego, Fear District. Throughout the month of October, we'll be serving up fun and fascinating content about all things food. The signature dish, however, is our 2019 Best of Dining poll, who's winners we will dish out all month long. Get hungry, Milwaukee! 

Milwaukee Beer Bistro, 2730 N. Humboldt Blvd., announced today that it will be closing its doors after service this weekend.

In fact, it's invited customers to come out and say their goodbyes on Sunday, Oct, 6 from 3 to 7 p.m. The closing bash will include free food, drink specials and closeout liquor sales.

Russ Davis opened Milwaukee Beer Bistro in 2014, introducing a menu of beer-friendly and beer-infused eats to the Riverwest Neightborhood. Over the years, the restaurant garnered national attention, appearing on the Travel Network show "Food Paradise" in 2016.

As for the reasoning behind the closure, manager Jordan Kremin says they’ve chosen to refocus their energy on their growing Kitchen Collective, a venture which provides commercial kitchen space to food trucks, caterers and other food-related businesses.

Kremin says the Kitchen Collective is currently servicing 12 tenants, and they will be using their resources to make room for additional businesses.

"We’re currently up to 12 tenants," says Kremin. "And the business is growing. It’s taking a great deal of time and energy, so we’ve chosen to concentrate on growing that business."

The Vecchio Entertainment Group will also concentrate its efforts on its other venues, which include Hubbard Park Lodge and Twisted Fisherman along with Riverwalk Boat Tours and Canal Street Yacht Club.
