The summer movie season may have arrived early to theaters this year with "Avengers: Infinity War" coming out in April, but the blockbusters will land late on Netflix, judging by the newly released lineup of upcoming arrivals for June. But hey, better late than never!

After a low-key May, June features some of the biggest movies of the past year hopping aboard the Big Read Streaming Monolith, including "The Last Jedi" – a great movie, I'm glad we all agree! – and the delightful "Thor: Ragnarok." You may have noticed both of those are Disney movies, and as I've hammered home several times over the past year, those are generally leaving Netflix more than they're arriving thanks to the Mouse House's own streaming service in the works.

But June's making me look like a real dummy because, in addition to those two, Disney's "Tarzan," "National Treasure" and "101 Dalmations" will all pop over to Netflix. (Though watch them fast, because I can't imagine they'll be around long.)

That's not all, though, as Netflix is adding several Oscar winners to its slate in June, including "The Departed," "The King's Speech," "Blue Jasmine" and "In Bruges." (OK, not an Oscar winner, but a boy can dream.)

Then, of course, there are the Netflix Originals, which include the second seasons of ballyhooed shows like "GLOW" and "Luke Cage," the series finale of The Wachowskis' "Sense8" and, for those of you still waiting for season two of "Making a Murderer," a new true crime docu-series called "The Staircase" to keep you busy.

So here's the full list of what you'll be streaming on Netflix next month:

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
