While we wait for the inevitable late spring blizzard here in Wisconsin, how about a blizzard of new movies and TV shows on Netflix?

Indeed, the Big Red Streaming Monolith recently revealed its latest avalanche of entertainment for the month of March – and thankfully, no matter your genre of choice, there should be something new to watch and distract from the fact that spring hasn't sprung yet ... and probably won't for another month or four.

While movie theaters welcome their first proper blockbuster in a while with "Dune Part Two," Netflix snagged a few blockbusters of its own with the original "Hunger Games" films, the 2014 "Godzilla" (hot off the recent hit "Minus One" with his monster mash-up with Kong to come soon too) and a bunch of Spider-Man movies – I'm sorry to report not the good ones, but the Andrew Garfield ones. As for something even funnier than Paul Giamatti's wild Rhino performance in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," March on Netflix will also bring in the comedy classics "Dumb and Dumber," "Animal House" and "Step Brothers." Those are all pretty iconic names – so for some underappreciated gems, take a peak at "21 Bridges" and "Devil in a Blue Dress" coming soon to the streaming service too.

As for next month's Netflix originals, there's a new Adam Sandler space movie that's actually one of the rare serious Sandler swings, their latest live-sports attempt with "The Netflix Slam," seasons new and old of the former Peacock original "Girls5eva," the medieval Millie Bobby Brown actioner "Damsel" and a new batch of "Is It Cake?" episodes asking the hard questions. No, not "Is it cake?" but "Is anyone still interested in a game show centered around a three-year-old COVID quarantine trend?" But really, none of those matter because there's also a new Korean show about a dad who tries to save his daughter after she gets turned into a chicken nugget. Wait, PARDON ME!?

Sigh, ANOTHER show about a person getting magically turned into a fast food item?! When will someone come up with something DIFFERENT!?

Speaking of new stuff, here's the full lineup of all the "Chicken Nugget" and non-"Chicken Nugget" movies and TV shows Netflix has on the menu for March.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
