Christmas is coming early this year on Netflix. No, really, the word "Christmas" shows up 16 times on this newly released list of fresh arrivals on the Big Red Streaming Monolith – and that's not even including stuff like "Dance Dreams: Hot Chocolate Nutcracker," "Elf Pets: Santa's Reindeer Rescue" and other holiday-themed options that don't literally say "Christmas" on the tin. So I hope you're ready for a holly, jolly November!

Yes, there's a lot of holiday spirit coming courtesy of Streaming Claus, whether it's the sequel to the holiday hit "The Christmas Chronicles" featuring Kurt Russell as Santa, a Christmas special starring Dolly Parton and several original songs for the season and a Hallmark-esque holiday movie called "Operation Christmas Drop" (which may or may not be a reference to the forgotten Disney Vietnam War dramedy "Operation Dumbo Drop? What is going on here?!) And while it's not explicitly Christmas, there's also a "Princess Switch" sequel arriving – now with a THIRD long-lost identical twin played by Vanessa Hudgens. Unless it involves a wild dark "Three Identical Strangers"-esque twist, I am dubious.

Christmas isn't the only season Netflix is investing in with this latest dump of movies and TV shows, though. Indeed, the streaming service also has its eyes on awards season with the debut of the highly-anticipated book adaptation "Hillbilly Elegy," aiming to net both Amy Adams and Glenn Close their first Oscar wins, as well as the fourth season of the prestige hit "The Crown." And as a bonus, the Ghost of Oscars Seasons Past will visit Netflix as well with awards players like "Boyz N the Hood," "A Clockwork Orange," "Loving," "Platoon," "The Impossible" and "Ocean's 11" all joining the service. (OK, "Ocean's 11" wasn't nominated for any Oscars – but it should've!)

Oh, and "Dawson's Creek" (minus the theme song) is coming to Netflix in the hopes that it'll make up for losing "Parks & Rec" and "Friends." Spoiler alert: It won't.

Anyways, here's the entire streaming feast Netflix will serve up in November.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
