One of coldest stretches of winter deserves a Summerfest update featuring one of the hottest acts of the music festival scene, as the Big Gig announced that electronic duo ODESZA will headline the American Family Insurance Amphitheater on Friday, June 30.

The dance party will also feature DRAMA, QRTR, OLAN and a DJ set from Bonobo.

For those who don't recognize the name, the "Say My Name" and "The Last Goodbye" hitmakers are currently one of the most popular acts making the festival rounds, earning headliner status this summer at Bonnaroo and The Governors Ball alongside the likes of Lizzo, Kendrick Lamar and Foo Fighters thanks to their popular propulsive music and impressive live shows. The duo is also currently up for a Grammy on Sunday night for Best Dance/Electronic Album with "The Last Goodbye."

Tickets for ODESZA will go on sale beginning Friday, Feb. 3 at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster.com as well as in person at the Summerfest box office.

With today's news, the headliner lineup for Big Gig 2023 is mostly complete, with Eric Church, Zac Brown Band and James Taylor booked for weekend one; Dave Matthews Band and ODESZA locked in for the second weekend; and Zach Bryan and the tandem of Imagine Dragons and AJR wrapping up the festival. Just two more Amp headliners are yet to come – plus the plethora of grounds stage acts – so stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for updates about warmer, sunnier times.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
