Cheers! It's Bar Month at OnMilwaukee – so get ready to drink up more bar articles, imbibable stories and cocktailing content, brought to you by Potawatomi Casino Hotel and Miller Lite. Thirsty for more? To find even more bar content, click here

We all know "The economy is in shambles". But you needn’t plan to drink three bottles of champagne and hang out with a stray dog under a bridge.

In fact, for four whole days this March, you’ll be able to let go of your worries and enjoy the sunshine at Lost Whale, 2151 S. Kinnickinnic Ave. That’s because, for the fifth year, the renowned Bay View cocktail bar will pull out all the stops for its annual Paddy’s Pub pop-up, which will take place Thursday, March 13 through Sunday, March 17.

And this year's pop-up will be better than ever thanks to

As usual, guests will find the bar all decked out for the occasion, complete with narcissistic, sociopathic bartenders, green and gold fringe garlands, and a life-sized Instagram-ready cardboard cut-out of former real estate mogul and sweatshop operator, Frank Reynolds.

Please note that, due to a much-needed vent-cleaning, there will be no access to Charlie's "bad room" during the festivities.

However, you will find plenty of Sunny-themed cocktails, showcasing Lost Whale’s classic “land to sea craftsmanship”, including:

  • Riot Juice: They traded out the Everclear for vodka, Jagermeister and freshly pressed passionfruit juice in this refreshing punch.
  • Fight Milk: Specially formulated to assist you in fighting like a crow! The drink includes Irish whiskey, coffee liqueur, Irish cream, bitters, and a sustaining, high crowtein garnish of cookie crisp cereal.

  • Intervention! Intervention!: Pair with jorts for better range of motion. The drink is comprised of Odyssea Spiced Peach Red Sangria served over ice in a Diet Coke can
  • Caribbean Paradise: Some people say it’s better than busting a nut; it also pairs well with the spider song. This personal fishbowl is filled with rum, vodka, Blue Curacao, lime, pineapple, almond orgeat and bitters.

Drinking paint & eating garbage

Of course, there are also brand new things to enjoy as you immerse yourself in Lost Whale's ridiculous shenanigans.  That  includes two new cocktails:

  • Charlie Catches a Leprechaun: Maybe you’ve had enough foamy beer. Or maybe you’re just craving a bit of green paint. Either way, this vibrant green drink (served up in a mini paint can) should fit the bill. Inspired by the classic "South Side" cocktail, it’s made with  Bombay London Dry Gin, lime, mint, green cardamom (harvested from the bottom of the rainbow, of course), Mathilde Pear Liqueur, Bittercube All Day Bitters
  • Rock, Flag & Eagle:  Of course, no one will blame you if you simply want to "Rise up ... and kick some *ss in the U.S.A."  In fact, this riff on a classic Manhattan is big and bold enough to help you climb a mountain, sew a flag AND soar like an eagle.  It’s made with a Lost Whale J.Henry Bourbon collab produced with Ray's Wine & Spirits, Old Forester Bourbon, Old Crow Bourbon, Cocchi Vermouth di Torino, Presidential Ruby Port, Averna Amaro, Bittercube Root Beer Bitters and Bittercube Cherry Bark Vanilla Bitters.  Even better, it’s served on an actual rock with a cherry and an orange flag skewered by an eagle.

It also includes food specials from Guigino's Pallino's, that fancy restaurant food truck located just behind Lost Whale.

  • Rum Ham Sando: a classic ham sammy with a rum-based glaze
  • Mac's Famous Mac & Cheese: A fried chicken sandwich topped with mac & cheese
  • Frank's Sausage Links: Four (4) sausages served in a convenient pocket container.
  • Reuben Stuffed Sausages: An exclusive delicacy found but once a year at the Groppi Food Market, but which is available at Lost Whale for the duration of the pop-up.
