The summer concert calendar on Milwaukee’s lakefront just got a whole lot louder. That’s because on Monday, metal legends Pantera announced a 29-city amphitheater tour that will run from July through September, including a stop at American Family Insurance Amphitheater.

Dubbed “The Heaviest Tour of The Summer,” Pantera and Amon Amarth will head to Milwaukee on Wednesday, August 6th, just a few weeks after Summerfest. Another supporting act for the tour will be named at a later date.

Pantera will be composed of lead singer Phil Anselmo and bassist Rex Brown, and joined by Zakk Wylde of Black Label Society and Ozzy Osbourne’s band on guitar, as well as Charlie Benante of Anthrex for this tour. The Milwaukee show will mark their first since playing the amphitheater in 2023, and only their second since the passing of brothers Vinnie Paul and “Dimebag” Darrell.

Tickets for Pantera and Amon Amarth will be available beginning on Friday via Ticketmaster. Presales for Citi cardholders and VIP packages will go on sale on Tuesday at 10 a.m.
