It's not a done deal, but it looks like a Pita Pit will open at 2226 N. Farwell Ave. – next door to the Oriental Theater.

Signs are in the window and Meghan Bertram, the pre-opening coordinator for Pita Pit, says one is slated to open this summer.

"We're shooting to open in July," says Bertram.

There are about 350 Pita Pit restaurants in the United States and Canada. The quick-service shops specialize in pita sandwiches.
