The owners of Groppi Food Market and Sendik's on Oakland will move into the Public Market and take over the 1,700-square foot space that was formerly Rupena's. The build-out process should take about two months.
"This is an exciting day for the public market," said market spokesperson Paul Schwartz. "John and Anne Nehring are highly respected local grocers. Their addition takes the market to an exciting new chapter in our history."
The Nehrings also own V. Richards Bakery and Deli in Brookfield.
"We will bring many of our well known and loved signature dishes and a great selection of specialty grocery and deli items, adding another wonderful layer to the exciting mix of popular vendors at the Market," says Nehring.
