Tuesday, Dec. 9, is the five-year anniversary of Sabbatic, 700 S. 2nd St. To mark the occasion, the Walker's Point bar will host a party from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Celebrated Milwaukee bartender Paul Kennedy will also take his first shift that night at Sabbatic. Kennedy will work every Tuesday night at the Walker’s Point bar from 9 p.m. until closing time.
"Paul Kennedy is a legend in the Milwaukee bar business and one of the best bartenders in the city," says Sabbatic co-owner, Sam Berman. "We are excited and honored to have him coming on board at Sabbatic."
Berman will "pass the Tuesday night torch" to Kennedy and shots of Tullamore Dew – also the party sponsor – will be $2. "Big-ass Tully cocktails" will be $5 all night long. DJ Paul H. will provide the tunes.
Kennedy has worked at numerous Milwaukee bars and currently hosts pub trivia at Tonic Tavern, 2335 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., every Monday night at 8 p.m. He's also behind the wood at Tonic every Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
"I am looking forward to working at Sabbatic because it’s the only bar in Milwaukee that I haven’t worked at," says Kennedy.
