Last night’s performance heralded the much-anticipated revival of live music season in Milwaukee. After a series of quieter months, the city's music scene is springing back to life, with Hunt's dynamic performance setting a high bar for what's to come. Fiserv Forum is just warming up, with the talented Olivia Rodrigo scheduled to grace the stage tonight, offering pop enthusiasts a treat. Meanwhile, country music fans also have something to look forward to as Zach Bryan is set to bring his heartfelt ballads and raw energy back to Milwaukee this month with a highly anticipated show.

3. Redux

Attending Hunt's concert Friday night was not just about enjoying live music; it was a moment of redemption for his Milwaukee fans who had their hearts set on seeing him at Summerfest, only to be left disappointed when the September 2020 show was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The concert represented the first opportunity for local fans to experience Hunt's electrifying performance live since that historic string of cancellations.

4. "Southside," B-sides and everything in between

Friday night’s performance featured a setlist that perfectly balanced the fresh tracks from Hunt’s latest LP, "Southside," with the biggest hits of his career and some cherished B-sides. With standouts like “Body Like a Backroad” and “Kinfolks” from his latest album, plus day one hits like “Take Your Time” and “House Party," no stone was left unturned. This eclectic mix of new and old, emotional and upbeat, not only highlighted Hunt's dynamic range as an artist but also ensured that there was something for every fan in attendance, making it a night to remember.

5. Great music, Great value

With general admission pit tickets for less than a couple hundred, great lower bowl seats for under $100 and upper level tickets priced for less than what a true country fan will spend on beer alone, everyone was able to enjoy last night's performance without breaking the bank.

6. Brett Young

Fans who arrived on time were also rewarded with an exceptional performance by country music’s Brett Young. Known for his emotional depth and smooth vocals, Young is a familiar face to the Milwaukee crowd, having delighted fans at Summerfest in 2018, 2016 and as recent as last summer. His return to Milwaukee was eagerly anticipated, promising renditions of his biggest hits like "Mercy" and "In Case You Didn't Know." Young's ability to connect with the audience and create an intimate atmosphere set the perfect tone for the rest of the evening and the show stopping performance that Sam Hunt was about to deliver.

If you missed out on Friday night’s action, Sam Hunt is already set to return to Wisconsin next week, with a performance at the Resch Center in Green Bay. Fans can visit Hunt’s official website for more information.
