Sendik’s Food Markets will open its newest store at the Corners of Brookfield on Sunday, April 23.
In celebration of the opening, Sendik’s will welcome shoppers with sales at all 16 of its locations, as well as four weeks of unique events taking place at the Brookfield store. The opening will also be marked by a ceremonial ribbon-cutting on Wednesday, April 26 at 10 a.m.
Families who visit the new location on April 29-30 will enjoy in-store sales, face painting, a balloon artist and the opportunity to meet local mascots. A cake decorating on May 6 will feature local celebrities from Sendik’s four long-standing charity partners, with $1,000 awarded to the winning decorator’s charity. In celebration of Sendik’s 91st anniversary, one lucky shopper will also win a seven-night Alaskan Cruise.
"We’re just as excited as the rest of the community that The Corners of Brookfield is coming to life," noted co-owner Ted Balistreri in a release. "The unique layout of The Corners gives shoppers a strong neighborhood feel and is the perfect fit for Sendik’s as Milwaukee’s family owned and operated local grocer."
The grocery store, which encompasses 35,000 square feet of The Corners will feature an extensive full-service deli, meat, bakery and produce sections. Beginning May 1, the store will also offer Sendik’s Express, an online ordering system which allows for curbside pick-up.
