Sad news for Shawn Mendes fans: You'll have to hold yourself back a little longer than expected as the pop star announced today that he's postponing his next three weeks of concerts – including his July 12 show at Fiserv Forum.

Mendes posted a statement to his social media accounts, noting the grind of touring caught up to him and he needs to take time to get healthy once more.

"This breaks my heart to have to say this, but unfortunately I’m going to have to postpone the next three weeks of shows through Uncasville, CT until further notice," Mendes writes. "I’ve been touring since I was 15 and to be honest it’s always been difficult to be on the road away from friends and family. After a few years off the road, I felt like I was ready to dive back in, but that decision was premature and unfortunately the toll of the road and the pressure has caught up to me and I’ve hit a breaking point. After speaking with my team and health professionals, I need to take some time to heal and take care of myself and my mental health, first and foremost. As soon as there are more updates, I promise I will let you know."

The Fiserv Forum show marked the "Mercy" and "Stitches" singer's return to both Milwaukee and the venue, previously playing there in 2019. He also headlined Summerfest the year prior

No official rescheduled date has been announced yet, but all previously purchased tickets will be valid and honored at the future show. For more information and updates, visit Fiserv Forum's website

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
