At the end of September, Sherbrooke, 6715 W. North Ave., closed for remodeling.
Sherbrooke, which opened in the former Shepherd’s space last spring, is owned by Martin Beaudoin who also owns the Red Dot, 2498 N. Bartlett Ave. The gastropub was named Sherbrooke after Beaudoin’s birthplace in Quebec.
According to an employee at Red Dot, Sherbrooke will reopen on Monday as Red Dot East Tosa. We confirmed this with Beaudoin today.
"The goal is to open on Monday," says Beaudoin.
The recent remodeling was minor and the overall plan was to change the mood. Beaudoin says he hopes to bring the fun, casual energy at Red Dot on the East Side to Red Dot East Tosa.
They are in the process of painting the building red to go with the Red Dot theme.
The menus will be about 75 percent the same but the Wauwatosa location will cater more to families. Liz Heisenfeldt runs the kitchen on the East Side and Keaton Harrington is the new chef in Tosa.
"The menus will be similar, but the chefs want to put their own stamps on the menus as well," says Beaudoin.
In the future, Beaudoin plans to open a patio and add more windows to the facade.
