At OnMilwaukee.com, our ShopLocal marketplace is still growing. And to continue its growth, I’m showcasing different products each week. Yes, we make money on this and yes we’re helping the local economy grow.
Have items that you want showcased? Contact me. Want to open a ShopLocal store or complement an existing ebay or etsy store? Click here.
I have two for you this week. First up, 88NINE Radio Milwaukee holds its Fall Ball on Friday and you are invited.
A fun fundraising component allows you to donate and bid on the opportunity to karaoke with local leaders. Information is here, and tickets are $75.
Next up is Saturday’s Wine Tasting with the Animals at the Zoo. Hosted by GrapestoBottles, the event is a wine safari of sorts and provides a fun environment to sample many brands while also checking out all that’s new at the Milwaukee County Zoo.
Buy tickets here. Or, try to win them here. For more information on the event itself, please click here. You could be sipping with lions on Saturday.
Winners will be contacted by email via OnMilwaukee.com. By entering you are allowing OnMilwaukee.com and grapestobottles to access your email for promotional purposes.
A life-long and passionate community leader and Milwaukeean, Jeff Sherman is a co-founder of OnMilwaukee.
He grew up in Wauwatosa and graduated from Marquette University, as a Warrior. He holds an MBA from Cardinal Stritch University, and is the founding president of Young Professionals of Milwaukee (YPM)/Fuel Milwaukee.
Early in his career, Sherman was one of youngest members of the Greater Milwaukee Committee, and currently is involved in numerous civic and community groups - including board positions at The Wisconsin Center District, Wisconsin Club and Marcus Center for the Performing Arts. He's honored to have been named to The Business Journal's "30 under 30" and Milwaukee Magazine's "35 under 35" lists.
He owns a condo in Downtown and lives in greater Milwaukee with his wife Stephanie, his son, Jake, and daughter Pierce. He's a political, music, sports and news junkie and thinks, for what it's worth, that all new movies should be released in theaters, on demand, online and on DVD simultaneously.
He also thinks you should read OnMilwaukee each and every day.
