For the third year in a row, the village of Shorewood will host a fun, family-focused winter soiree called Shorewood Chill. The event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 8 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Lake Bluff Elementary School ice rink, 1600 E. Lake Bluff Blvd.

The free event features ice skating, hot chocolate, skate sharpening, snow shoe demonstrations, s’mores in front of fire pits, music, food and more.

Bliffert’s Hardware will sharpen skates on-site for $5 per pair; Sound by Design will provide DJ services; and Milwaukee Brat House, Benji’s, Kompali and La Masa Empanada Bar will have food available for purchase.

Plus, Shorewood Girl Scouts will serve Colectivo Coffee and hot chocolate and Milwaukee Admirals’ mascot Roscoe will make an appearance.

The Shorewood Recreation and Community Services Department, the Village of Shorewood, and the Lake Bluff Ice Rink Captains coordinated the event.

"The Shorewood Chill is a lively winter event that gives residents a chance to get outdoors and enjoy some fun winter activities," says Recreation Supervisor Megan Phalin.
