There's lots of reasons to check out Fall Experiment on Oct. 4-5 at the Wisconsin Center, from the games to the fascinating speakers and witnessing the future of multiple industries. And here's one more: Today the two-day tech festival announced EDM star Steve Aoki will perform as its headliner, along with N.W.A. founding member Arabian Prince as his opener, at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5.
Aoki is one of the biggest names working in the electronic dance music genre, teaming up with fellow superstars like BTS, Kid Cudi, Lil Jon, former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson, will.i.am, Fall Out Boy and many more, and even earning a Netflix documentary, "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead," in 2014. However, his most famous contributions are his live DJ shows, which blitz the audience with a high-energy blend of his remixes and more, highlighted by his famous move: throwing cakes into the crowd.
Aoki last visited Milwaukee this past summer for the Big Gig, putting on a bright and energetic show that was a rush even if you didn't take a sheet cake to the face. And one can expect the same level of performance at Fall Experiment next month.
Tickets for Fall Experiment – now with Steve Aoki added to its list of featured presenters and performers – are available at the event's website, with early bird admission specials starting at $30 with a Steve Aoki add-on ticket option. For more information, visit the website or Fall Experiment's Eventbrite page.
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
