Starving for summer? Here's something extra to get you salivating for sunnier days, as Summerfest today announced that Henry Maier Festival Park will play host to two foodie festivals: the sixth annual Milwaukee Taco Fest on Saturday, June 22 and Big BBQ Fest during Labor Day weekend.

"We are thrilled that Swarmm Events has decided to present Milwaukee Taco Fest and Big BBQ Fest at Henry Maier Festival Park, Milwaukee’s top destination for events throughout the summer," said Don Smiley, President and CEO of Milwaukee World Festival, Inc., in a release. "This new collaboration is consistent with our mission of bringing the community together at the Lakefront."

Previously hosted at the Wisconsin State Fair, Milwaukee Taco Fest will now bring its tasty combination of cerveza, wrestling, live entertainment and, of course, tacos – provided by local vendors including Ugly's, Pig Tailz, The Loaded Slate, Mangos Cafe, Las 7 Estrellas and more. Tickets for the taco tasting tear will go on sale beginning March 22 at Milwaukee Taco Fest's official website. 

Completing the Summerfest grounds' culinary bookends is Big BBQ Fest, once again bringing barbecue, live entertainment, games and more down to the Lakefront during the long Labor Day weekend. Dates, times, vendors and tickets will be announced at a later date.
