When we gave you a preview of Glass + Griddle, 1130 N. 9th St., last August we teased you with an initial look at the building's rooftop patio, which promised both a covered and open air quarters along breathtaking views of the surrounding area, including the Deer District.

But soon you'll be able to see the amazing venue for yourself.

The patio was initially slated to open this spring, and it appears they’re not too far off schedule. In fact, a grand opening for the venue is planned for Friday, June 14.

We're still learning the details about the new venue; however, what we do know is that guests can expect not only a great view of the city, but also a menu showcasing craft cocktails, beer and award-winning wines. A food menu featuring dishes from Glass + Griddle, the beer hall restaurant located just below the patio, will also be available.

Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for additional details about the city's newest view.

In the meantime, mark your calendars for Friday, June 14 at 4 p.m. Grand opening festivities include food, drink and live music.
