The great Milwaukee summer is even greater than usual this year with so many massive events, traditions, outdoor music series and festivals booked on the schedule – and that includes, as always, TosaFest, which revealed its dates for the late summer neighborhood soiree this week.

Nearing a half-century of summer entertainment and community, TosaFest announced on social media that it will get the two-day party started this year on Friday, Sept. 6 and Saturday, Sept. 7, the weekend after Labor Day.

Typically hosted in the heart of Tosa Village, the festival traditionally features a multitude of live local music, beer garden spaces for food and drinking, kids activities, art, local vendors, unique experiences and much more. Last year's edition included music acts including Trapper Schoepp, Extra Crispy Brass Band, Landline and more.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
