Hot off his latest album hitting and holding at number one on the Billboard 200 (sorry, Nicki), rapper Travis Scott today announced he was taking "Astroworld" on the road – including a tour stop at the Fiserv Forum on Sunday, Dec. 9.
Just three studio albums into his career – 2015's "Rodeo" and 2016's "Birds In the Trap Sing McKnight," in addition to the newly released, already certified gold "Astroworld" – Scott's blown up into a full-fledged rap superstar, working and performing with the likes of Kanye West, 2 Chainz, Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna and more, as well as scoring two Grammy nominations: Album of the Year in 2017 as a featured artist on Justin Bieber's "Purpose" and Best Rap/Sung Performance the following year for "Love Galore" with SZA.
The carnival theme for Scott's new album is a fitting match for his live shows, famed for their livewire, rage energy. (For a preview, he'll hit the MTV VMA stage tonight as well.) He last brought his live act to Milwaukee last year, playing a sold-out gig at the Eagles Ballroom at The Rave.
Tickets for the show will go on sale beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 24. For more information on tickets, click here.
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
