Looking for a destination with a rooftop view for your birthday, shower or intimate graduation party?

You might just find it in Lowlands Group’s new VIP Lux Chalet, which will make its debut on the Café Benelux rooftop at 346 N. Broadway on Thursday, March 11.

“Everyone loves the views from the rooftop at Cafe Benelux, and now with the new VIP Lux Chalet, people can enjoy the view with the full Benelux menu and dining experience,” notes Eric Wagner, Lowlands Group CEO. “Lowlands has always tried to connect our guests with some of the more European dining traditions we know that Wisconsinites, in particular, will embrace. Europeans dine outdoors all year long, and we want our guests to be able to as well.”

The singular 10’x12’ heated atrium, which sports a 9-foot high ceiling, accommodates up to 10 guests in an environment that offers a view of the Milwaukee skyline against the backdrop of twinkling lights, an overhead chandelier and seating atop a luxurious rug. The chalet is an ideal location for safe, intimate gatherings to celebrate birthdays, bachelor or bachelorette parties, showers and graduations.

On the food and beverage side, guests can choose from pre-ordered specially curated Lux Dome platters and beverage packages or take advantage of onsite ordering from the full restaurant menu.

Reservations  for the Chalet can be booked in 90-minute increments online at lowlandswinter.com, with walk-ins accommodated whenever possible. Each reservation includes a complimentary beverage package and is limited to guests 21 years of age and older.  The regular $200 reservation fee, will be offered at a special “spring thaw” price of $150 during the remainder of the month of March.

“It has been wonderful to see Wisconsinites embracing the idea of dining outside through the winter in our unique outdoor experiences,” Wagner added. “This has motivated us to continue to develop new experiences that celebrate that Euro cafe culture year-round, and this Chalet is our newest effort at offering a safe and fun experience.”

In keeping with strict safety standards, each chalet and dome is scheduled with staggered reservation slots to ensure groups arrive and exit at different times. A 30-minute window is built in between reservations for cleaning and  sanitation.

In addition to following the city’s Moving Milwaukee Forward Enhanced Approval 72-point safety procedures, Lowlands utilizes atomizer fog machines to target airborne pathogens and bacteria. Both the domes and chalet at Cafe Benelux include a door and air vent which open for fresh air ventilation during and between each reservation.

The same is true for Lowlands other unique outdoor experiences, which include the Streetcar on Lincoln at Cafe Centraal, shanties at Buckatabon Tavern & Supper Club, and a mix of canal houses and domes at Cafe Hollander locations. Additional outdoor experiences at Café Benelux include the Lux Domes, Rooftop Warming Bar and Lux Porch on Broadway (offering heated canopy dining on the ground level).

All winter experiences have been extended through the spring months to allow for comfortable and safer dining.

Reservations, details and full menu options for all venues are available at lowlandswinter.com.
