Hot off The Corners of Brookfield announcing its polar plans for 2023, The Wicked Hop has revealed the return of its own popular outdoor ice bar experience, chilling out once more in front of the Third Ward favorite beginning Friday, Jan. 13.
Themed "Fire & Hops" for this winter's edition, the Wicked Hop ice bar will open on the sidewalk patio on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, weather permitting.
And to show the bar and restaurant's not prepping at a glacial pace, The Wicked Hop shared a look at the beautiful beverage-dispensing iceberg in progress – crafted by Max Bollkman Zuleta of Art Below Zero – on its social media:
The ice bar will offer a menu of beverages and temperature-lifting librations featuring brands like Jim Beam, Maker's Mark, Fireball, Red Bull, Casamigos, High Noon, Captain Morgan, Rehorst Gin and more, as well as beer options from City Lights Brewing Co.
The subzero saloon will also serve up Wicked Hop's famous bloody mary as well as two special frostbite-slaying hot sippers: Andy's Candies, combining hot cocoa, Rumchata and Dr. McGillicuddy's mint; and Firey Cider, mixing hot apple cider with Captain Morgan and Fireball.
To keep spirits as warm as those hot beverages, no matter how low the temperature drops, The Wicked Hop's ice bar will also host several giveaways throughout the festivities – with prizes including shirts, koozies, scarves, hats and more – along with bag games on the outdoor patio space.
The frozen festivities will be available – again, weather permitting – Fridays from 5 p.m. until midnight, Saturdays from 10 a.m. until midnight and Sundays from 10 a.m. until whenever the crowd melts away for the weekend.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
