“So have another drink of green elixir and we'll have ourselves a little mixer."

“Wicked” kicks off on July 30 at The Marcus Center, 929 N. Water St.

But before you head off to the performance, you’ll want to soak in some pre-musical magic at The Brewery, 1101 N. Water St., which is transforming its aesthetic and its menu to host a “Wicked” pop-up July 30 through Aug. 17.

Make your way to The Brewery and follow the Yellow Brick Road straight to the Emerald City, where Oz-inspired sights, sounds and sips await.  Take, for instance, the Grimmerie’s Cocktail Spell Book... it's filled with a collection of unforgettable pink potions, bubble-evoking quaffs and green elixirs (of course), any one of which might make you break out into song.

Take a peek:

  • Popular: Rumhaven Coconut Rum, Tattersall Creme de Fleur, guava puree, lemonade, seltzer and a lemon bubble ($13)

If you’d prefer, you could also head next door to Vagabond, 1122 N. Edison St., where they’ll have a special Wicked-themed specialty taco and margarita throughout the month of August.

Got your Wicked tix?

Also - if you don’t have your tickets yet for Wicked, there are still limited seats available for the show, which runs July 30 through Aug. 17 at Uihlein Hall at the Marcus Performing Arts Center.

The Wicked Pop-up at The Brewery will take place throughout the run of the show. Hours at The Brewery are Wednesday and Thursday from 4 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., Friday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.
