There's something new and delicious to try at Bayshore.

Beginning this weeken, Wisconsin will officially have its very own Mochinut, a national franchise best known for its uniquely shaped mochi doughnuts.

The shop, which is located next to Potbelly at 5735 N. Bayshore Dr., will host its Grand Opening Celebration on Sunday, July 2, at 11 a.m. During the festivities, guests can win Mochinut merchandise, stickers and more.

Founded in Cerritos, California, Mochinut specializes in mochi doughnuts, the ingenius fusion of two classic snacks: Japanese mochi and American doughnuts. The fried treats are made with a rice flour dough that's fried, glazed and often embellished with other toppings. Since fresh doughnuts are made every 15-30 minutes, orders are guaranteed to be sweet, chewy and delicious.

In addition to doughnuts, Mochinut also serves Korean rice flour hot dogs, bubble tea and soft serve ice cream.

“We’re thrilled to bring Mochinut to the Bayshore community,” said Mary Mokwa, senior general manager, Bayshore. “Mochinut offers a fun, one-of-a-kind specialty dining experience to delight our guests.”
