Here's some news that'll make that first snow of the season not seem so cold: Summerfest today announced its first American Family Insurance Amphitheater headliner for 2023, as country rockers Zac Brown Band will take the stage on Friday, June 23.

The country act will be joined on the Summerfest stop by special guest Marcus King.

The "Chicken Fried" and "Toes" hitmakers must be big fans of the Big Gig, as the band is a regular sight at the music festival, this latest booking marking their seventh Summerfest appearance since 2012 – most recently taking the Big Gig's biggest stage just last year. (There's also a 2018 Alpine Valley gig mixed in the past decade too.)

Tickets for Zac Brown Band at Summerfest will go on sale beginning Friday, Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. at Summerfest's websiteTicketmaster and in person at the Big Gig box office. And stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more Summerfest headliner announcements to keep you warm throughout the winter.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
