Bayshore will turn into Bayscare on Friday, Oct. 28 as the mixed-use shopping center will host its third annual BOOgie Bash & Costume Contest in honor of spooky season.

Running from 5-8 p.m. in The Yard green space, the free ghoulish gathering will feature a feast of family-friendly fall activities and Halloween wonder – including a hay maze, spooky Halloween displays, costumed characters like fairytale princesses roaming about The Yard, light shows, a duo of Z-Bot LED Robots and much more spooky season fun. And then, of course, there's the costume contest at 6 p.m., with folks of all ages showing off their costumed creativity in the hopes of winning prizes.

Plus, if your stomach starts groaning like zombie, Bayshore's BOOgie Bash & Costume Contest will host a number of food trucks – including The Collective Marketplace, Cinnabar Nutrition, Kilwins, El Sazon Dominicano, Meat on the Street, Pedro's South American Food and Rose Mob Grill – to help sate attendees in between scares.

“This is one of our favorite community events every year, because not only is it free for families to enjoy, but to see the children dressed up, dancing and having fun with their families is what the Bayshore experience is all about,” said Bayshore marking manager Brenda Vento, in a release.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
