Points to ponder as you head to Miller Park to watch the Brewers take on the Cardinals:
- Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks went on the disabled list May 19 with a season-ending wrist injury. In eight games since that transaction, the team has scored 22 runs and posted a 3-5 record.
- The Brewers' tough travel schedule of the past week, when they had early arrivals in Houston, Minneapolis and Milwaukee, may be a factor in the team's current lethargy. The fact that players did school visits on Tuesday morning didn't help. This team needs a day off on Thursday and should look refreshed on Friday against Cincinnati.
- It looks like David Riske is going to be out for the season. The guy has been inconsistent / hurt for most of his tenure in Milwaukee.
- The big stories today will center on Ryan Braun, who was hit on the hand by a pitch last night, and J.J. Hardy, who has been nursing a sore lower back. Both men are in the starting lineup as the Brewers try to win the series.
