Opening day is coming up – not only for the Milwaukee Brewers 2023 season but for one of American Family Field's biggest updates, the brand new J. Leinenkugel's Barrel Yard restaurant and brewery. And to celebrate both, the team will host its second annual Brewers Eve Bash on Wednesday, March 29.

Hosted at the Barrel Yard from 4:30-8 p.m., the Brewers Eve Bash will once again ring in a new baseball season with giveaways, prizes, live music courtesy of local band Regenerated and visits from team icons. This year, those icons include the racing sausaces, Bernie Brewer and former players Jim Gantner, Larry Hisle and Rollie Fingers, who will sign autographs (one item per guest) at the team store from 5-6 p.m.

Perhaps the biggest star at the Brewers Eve Bash, however, will be the venue itself, renovated and reimagined from the former Restaurant To Be Named Later spot in left field. At the bash, attendees will get their first look at the new brewery and restaurant space as well as get their first taste of the spot's menu with samples of select food items available throughout the night. And while brand new brews crafted at and for the Barrel Yard specifically – at least two a month are expected – won't be available until the home opener, the Brewers Eve Bash will offer a tasty beer list from Leinenkugel's.

Admission for the bash is free, though space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

J. Leinenkugel's Barrel Yard will officially open at the team's home opener on Monday, April 3, against the New York Mets. As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
