In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Paul Molitor's franchise-record 39-game hitting streak, the Brewers and MLB.com are teaming up for an exciting promotion that will give fans an opportunity to "Ignite the Streak."

Beginning today, fans can register on Brewers.com to enter the contest. Starting on Saturday, July 14, participants will select a Brewers player on each Brewers game day that they think will get a hit. If that player gets a hit that day, their streak continues. If that player doesn't get a hit, their streak is over, and they may try to start a new streak the following day.

Participants must designate a Brewers player for each Brewers game, and selections can be made up to 10 calendar days in advance. Participants can select any player as many times as they want over the course of the contest period.

The contest ends on Saturday, Aug. 25 (the 25th anniversary of the 39th consecutive game that Molitor recorded a hit).

The participant at the end of the contest period with the longest hitting streak, greater than eight games, will receive 12 tickets to attend a 2012 Brewers regular season game in a Club Level Suite at Miller Park. The package includes food, non-alcoholic beverages and parking passes.
