Ope, let me squeeze a Wisconsin State Fair headliner into the lineup right past ya here, because Wisconsin comedian Charlie Berens is returning to the late summer spectacular, hitting the Main Stage once again on Thursday, Aug. 8.
The "Manitowoc Minute" Midwest culture comedian – hot off playing not one, not two, not three but four shows at the Riverside late last month as well as appearing on an episode of "Top Chef: Wisconsin" – previously headlined at the Wisconsin State Fair in 2022.
With today's announcement and yesterday's addition of TLC, the Wisconsin State Fair's headliner slate for 2024 is just one act away from being complete. Here's the genre-hopping lineup as it currently stands:
- Thursday, Aug. 1 – Gabriel Iglesias
- Friday, Aug. 2 – TLC
- Saturday, Aug. 3 – Yung Gravy
- Sunday, Aug. 4 – TBD
- Monday Aug. 5 – Casting Crowns
- Tuesday, Aug. 6 – Kidz Bop Live
- Wednesday, Aug. 7 – Riley Green
- Thursday, Aug. 8 – Charlie Berens
- Friday, Aug. 9 – Lauren Daigle
- Saturday, Aug. 10 – Foreigner
- Sunday, Aug. 11 – The Happy Together Tour
Tickets for the comedy show will go on sale beginning Friday, April 12 at 10 a.m. at the Wisconsin State Fair's website. All seating will be reserved, with tickets ranging in cost from $35 to $40 and $45. For more information about the State Fair show, click here.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
