Personally, I love throwing themed birthday parties in my home for my kids … and my dogs. Just this week my Chihuahua rescue, Frankie, turned five and so I invited a few humans over for “Frankie’s Fifth Birthday Fiesta.” Yes, there was cake. Yes, she wore a special outfit. Yes, we sang “Happy Birthday.” Yes, it’s kinda ridiculous.

But you know what? I adore that furry little lady and I enjoy keeping life weird, so it was a ton of fun for me, my family and my friends who love Frankie.

However, if you prefer to throw parties outside of the home – no fuss, no cleanup – here are a few places that are ready to ramp up Rover’s big day. And if you don’t know your dog’s birthday? Make one up or celebrate the day you adopted them.
