Eldr+Rime, the Scandinavian-inspired restaurant at 2300 N. Mayfair Rd., has rolled out two new offerings: weekend brunch and a special Oktoberfest Beer Garden, which will serve up specials on Saturdays throughout October.
Oktoberfest
Every Saturday in October, the spacious socially-distanced Eldr+Rime patio – which also boasts patio heaters and an outdoor fireplace – will be transformed into a Beer garden between the hours of noon and 4 p.m. (weather permitting).
The Oktoberfest celebration will include a rotating selection of limited release taps from Good City Brewing, along with food specials including schnitzel sticks, Eldr+Rime pretzels and Danish hot dogs.
Sunday brunch
Eldr+Rime has also introduced a Scandinavian style brunch, which is available on Sundays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Diners can enjoy their brunch in the spacious dining room, at the bar or on the outdoor patio. Reservations are available on OpenTable.
Brunch offerings include staples like cardamom buns served with calendula birch butter ($4, pictured above) plus dishes like housemade lox with charred scallion smear, pickled red onions and “everythinng crunch” on Nordic rye flatbread ($16); Swedish brined beef hash with onion jam and smoked beef hollandaise ($16); Scones and pan gravy featuring cheddar bacon scones and lingonberry gravy ($13); and a King crab benedict with white asparagus and bearnaise on a brown butter rye English muffin ($23).
Meanwhile, brunch-worthy drinks include the spiked mimosa with sparkling wine and housemade arancello ($11) and the Eldr+Rime bloody mary with house smoked cocktail sauce, horseradish, Scandi bbq seasoning ($14).
