Two veteran Milwaukee brew-slingers are partnering on a beer garden in the heart of the Wisconsin State Fair this year.
Lakefront Brewery Biergarten will be in the Central Marketplace area adjacent to the Bank Five Nine Amphitheater, near other beer booths like The Micro and Benno’s Leinie Lodge.
There has been Lakefront beer at the fair in the past, but this is the first year that the brewery is teaming with Benno’s on a dedicated stand. The booth will serve Lakefront classics and favorites like Riverwest Stein, IPA, Hazy Rabbit, Dive Beer, Fruit Wagon, Oktoberfest, and gluten-free New Grist Pilsner and New Grist Gosa Rita in cans.
The biergarten will also serve cocktails, including Bloody Marys, Old Fashioneds and Margaritas, frozen drinks like the Lakefront Fruit Wagon Slush, Cold Fashioned and Strawberry Daiquiri and N/As, too, including mocktails and Lakefront’s Extended Play IPA NA and Eastside Dark NA.
“It’s always great to be represented at the best State Fair in the country and partnering with such an experienced State Fair crew like Benno’s”, says Lakefront owner Russ Klisch.
Lakefront and Benno’s promise bar games, too. Plus, with the amphitheater so close, there will surely be music wafting through the air.
“We’re beyond excited to partner with Lakefront Brewery at our new Lakefront Biergarten location at the Wisconsin State Fair”, says Jacob Hicks, Marketing and Promotions Manager for Benno’s Concessions.
“Both Benno’s and Lakefront are proud family-founded businesses with deep Milwaukee roots. It means a lot to us to come together to create something special for fairgoers; a true hometown collaboration built on great beer and great people.”
This year’s State Fair takes place from Thursday, July 31 through Sunday, Aug. 10.
