Opening Day at American Family Field is still a week away. But while the Brewers won't take the home diamond until next Tuesday, one of their newest acquisitions made its debut today, as the team unveiled its brand new scoreboards.

The new center-field scoreboard measures more than 12,000 square feet, with 8mm LED screen stretching all the way to both sides of the display. The previous AmFam Field scoreboard, installed for the 2011 season, was comparatively only 5,940 square feet.
The largest scoreboard screen in Major League Baseball still belongs to the New York Mets, who installed a new center field screen last season in Citi Field taking up more than 17,000 square feet.
In addition to the giant new center field scoreboard, the Brewers also added a new 8mm LED screen in right field measuring almost 3,000 square feet where the analog clock face used to be found. There are also newly upgraded LED displays found behind home plate, stretching down both baselines and the dugout lips.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
