Although PrideFest was originally postponed from June until September, organizers decided this week to cancel the event for 2020 with the intention to return with great gusto in 2021.

A post on the Milwaukee Pride Facebook page reads, "After monitoring the developments surrounding the COVID-19 situation, Milwaukee Pride, Inc., parent organization of PrideFest, has decided to cancel PrideFest Milwaukee 2020. We look forward to new ways to celebrate PRIDE with community partners, organizations and people as safe opportunities become available."

Milwaukee Pride, the Pride Parade committee and OnMilwaukee plan to host many safe, online alternatives during the month of June. OnMilwaukee has  identified June 1-8 as Pride Week MKE.
