Yesterday, the Wisconsin State Fair announced its first main stage performer: pop star Shawn Mendes, playing at the festival's opening night. Today, the fair added two more bands to its lineup: country stars Rascal Flatts and hard rockers Halestorm.
Halestorm – which released its latest album, "Into the Wild Life," last April and won a Grammy for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance in 2013 – will take the stage first, along with opening act We Are Harlot, on Friday, Aug. 5 at 8 p.m. Tickets for the show will cost $29 and $39, with State Fair admission included.
Then the following night, Saturday, Aug. 6, country hitmakers Rascal Flatts will take the stage at 8 p.m., alongside opening act Kelsea Ballerini. The country band has scored many hits over the years – such as "Bless the Broken Road," "What Hurts The Most," "My Wish" and a cover of "Life Is a Highway" for the Pixar film "Cars" – not to mention a Grammy award in 2006 for Best Country Song. Tickets for the show will cost $49 and $39, with State Fair admission included.
Tickets for both shows will go on sale beginning Friday, Feb. 5 at 9 a.m. on State Fair's website and at the State Fair ticket office, located at 7722 W. Greenfield Ave. All track level tickets for both shows will be general admission, while the reserved seating will begin in the grandstand.
The Wisconsin State Fair will run from Thursday, Aug. 4 through Sunday, Aug. 14.
