Welcome to Saturday Scorecard. Brewers are hot. So is the action at Summerfest. The World Cup is kicking off soon. We're going to let the man in suspenders handle the entire effort today.

LARRY KING LOUNGE

BASEBALL
The Brewers have won a season-high five in a row, but they are slipping. Jonathan Lucroy hit his first big-league homer Friday night, did a post-game interview on TV and nobody got him with a shaving cream pie. "I was bracing for it," Lucroy said later. "I got one in college and it stings." Casey McGehee said Lucroy can relax, but only temporarily. "We're kind of bad at stuff like that," he said. "We'll get him some time when he's not expecting it."... Lucroy's homer was a bittersweet moment for Seattle GM Jack Zduriencik. On one hand, Zduriencik was happy for Lucroy, whom he drafted. On the other hand, it erased a 3-0 lead... Zduriencik, one of the truly nice guys in sports, was asked before the game about the toughest part of being a GM. "The losses," he said.... I know there was competition from Summerfest, but there were more empty seats at Miller Park last night than expected on a warm summer night. Maybe the early season troubles are keeping the last few thousand people home... What's the Brewers' team ERA since Jeff Suppan was released?... If Prince Fielder ever gets hot, the Brewers could get back in this thing... Several members of Tom Petty's Heartbreakers checked out the Brewers-Twins game on Thursday afternoon... Is it just me, or do the Brewers wear those ‘80s uniforms so much that it diminishes the impact of the "throwback" games? The Mariners looked cool last night, though... How many people expected to see Ken Griffey, Jr., this weekend?... When Carlos Zambrano attacked Michael Barrett a few years ago, the Cubs got hot. Something tells me his tantrum on Friday isn't going to help matters... Diamondbacks right-hander Edwin Jackson walked seven batters in the first three innings and still ended up with a no-hitter. It was a signature moment for him and Arizona TV man Daron Sutton... If you've been following the Mets this season, you've had a wild ride... Kudos to Dave Bush for pitching reasonably well after a long layoff... The Brewers seem much looser these days. Guys are laughing, joking and kicking a soccer ball during pre-game stretching drills. Winning can have that effect... Doug Davis' return is going to force some moves, most likely the outright of Chris Capuano. Carlos Villanueva has a minor-league option left, though...

BASKETBALL
Bucks GM John Hammond said Larry Sanders' size and athletic ability were key factors in making the Virginia Commonwealth forward the team's top pick in the draft. "So much of the NBA game is played above the rim," Hammond said... Brandon Jennings' profile is on the rise. He got a shout-out from Public Enemy Friday night at Summerfest... If Kentucky had five high first-round picks, why didn't the Wildcats win the NCAA championship -- or at least make the Final Four?... The Blazers fired GM Kevin Pritchard just BEFORE the draft. How can you let a dead man make picks that can shape your franchise's future? One hack said it was like firing Santa Claus on Christmas Eve... Marquette's Lazar Hayward was a pleasant surprise at the end of the first round of the draft. Hayward, who went to Washington, should buy Wes Matthews a nice dinner. Matthews success in Utah didn't hurt Hayward's case.

ET CETERA
Given a choice, would you rather be a pro athlete, a rock star or the Miller High Life Delivery Guy? After following Windell Middlebrooks around Miller Park on Friday night, I think I might choose the latter... Kudos to MillerCoors for their new program that raises money for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans. The company is donating 10 cents from each bottle cap and pull tab collected.... If you get hungry at Summerfest, check out Saz's new Lakeside Grille. It's an elegant, upscale offering on the grounds. If you're in a hurry, go with the Major Goolsby's cheeseburger... I love the World Cup announcers.... Green Bay native Jay DeMerit has been a rock for Bob Bradley's squad... I still can't believe that Wimbledon tennis match that wouldn't end... I wonder how many kids born this month are going to be named "Landon."... I'm still not used to the vuvuzela... Wake me up when Brett Favre makes up his mind. And the same goes for you, LeBron.
