The beat has sadly dropped out on an NBA hall-of-famer-turned-DJ appearing in Milwaukee. On Monday, the Milwaukee Brewers announced that DJ Diesel, aka Shaquille O'Neal, would not be performing a postgame concert on September 18th at American Family Field as planned. The statement from the team reads as follows:

The Milwaukee Brewers today announced that due to unforeseen circumstances DJ Diesel aka Shaq has canceled his postgame concert scheduled for Thursday, September 18. While there will be no postgame concert that date, the Brewers game will continue as planned with the first pitch slated for 6:40 p.m. against the Los Angeles Angels.

Any fans who purchased a Field pass to the postgame concert will receive an automatic refund. Other questions can be directed to tickets@brewers.com

DJ Diesel was one of two special postgame concerts announced this past March, with Nelly making a postgame appearance earlier this season on June 27th.

It does not appear that Shaq has a new concert announced for that date (yet.) However, if you're craving big beats from The Big Aristotle, he'll be at The Sylvee in Madison the next night, September 19th. the man does own several business ventures, including dozens of fast food restaurants around the country, so maybe he's a little busy. Or, he's simply Shaqtin' A Fool on this one. Who's to say? However, in a season already filled with free burgers, Pocket Pancakes, and the Power of Friendship, maybe Milwaukee doesn't need dubstep and dunk highlights while they're on a run to the MLB Postseason.

Tickets for the now DJ-Diesel-less homestand against the Los Angeles Angels are still on sale at the Milwaukee Brewers website.
